Digital Art Play

Following a tutorial by Linda Matthews ...

More of this to come.

warped

Playing with the warp tool in PSE

... this painting became

this wild thing. As I said before, I'm easily entertained.

Obsessed?

OK, I suppose you could say this is "working on a series". Yesterday, I was given several textures from a generous digital artist, Jana Oliveira. So, of course, I had to keep playing with seaweed.

I love how the different textures provide interesting results. Digital art is so much fun! Thank you, Jana.

I love to take photos. And I really love to play with them in Photoshop Elements!  I can do this for hours on end :-).

I'm easily entertained!

Photo Play

Part of the fun of taking a walk through HB Central Park is taking photos to play with.

Three versions ...

I love this one... my version of what October should look like.

art therapy

Feeling a little down ... art is so healing!

It's not that I don't like summer ...

It's just that I prefer the beach in the winter, when it has been abandoned by the crowds.

Playing with Fireworks

The best part of the 4th of July is the day after! At my house, I'm surrounded by major professional- looking fireworks ... pretty, but the noise is really annoying.

This morning, in the quiet aftermath, I play with fireworks.

flower power

Flowers provide so much joy ...

and in their "afterlife"

It's so much fun to rummage through old photos (these are from a trip to Portland in 2011) play with them, all the while "revisiting" the trip.

playing with photos

I've been having some fun with Photoshop Elements ... so much this program can do to "artify" photos!

It's amazing how many tutorials there are on YouTube ... for free! So many generous artists.

Bliss

a few moments here and all is right with the world.

Playing around in Photoshop

I had an urge to play in the world of digital artistry ... and here are the results. First I drew a free-form "flower", then posed a recent photo on top. The artistry proceeded from there ...

For this one, I used a freebie from Jane Davies that I used previously as seen here. Today's results produced two very different pieces. Do you have a preference - dark and moody or bright and colorful?

Distraction

It's finals week and I have a gazillion papers to grade. But first, a little distraction ...

playing with Correct Camera Distortion to create distortion. Fun. And now back to grading ...

Photoshop Elements Play

On a quiet and peaceful Sunday morning, I am playing with photos. Not a particularly interesting photo, the sunlight on the dresser captured my eye. PSE made it much more interesting.
