Day 3 Madrid

Museo Reina Sofia.

MIRĂ“

MIRĂ“ - Pintura (caracol, mujer, flor, estrella)

Picasso's Guernica
Picasso
Oskar Schlemmer "Flat Mask" - Papier mache
Calder sculpture in the garden of the museum

I really enjoyed this museum. While the Prada was fabulous for traditional art, I love modern art and feel a connection to it. It feels more "accessible" to me. Must look for "Outsider Art Sourcebook" - it was too expensive in the museum bookstore.

Day 1 Madrid

Madrid airport

Graffiti was everywhere. I don't think it is considered a "bad thing" in Europe.

This artist was creating a sculpture with toilet paper until the policia made him remove it. Boo hiss policia!

But they didn't stop these musicians ...what a treat everywhere you go to hear live music.
