colors at the beach

While a few blocks inland there was hot sun, along the coast it was cool and overcast. I stopped to shoot a few pictures using my zoom lens, still on auto mode. Even with the overcast skies, one can see color.

whites
tans
yellows

Thanks, Jacki. I've played with digital manipulation of photos for the past year and am now enjoying the process of creating the photo itself.

Lovely images! I don't have a big girl camera and I don't know my way around digital manipulation of images, but I'd love to be able to take good clear close-ups. In the meantime I'll make do and take photos (snaps?) of those same things just a short stroll from here.

There's no colour combination that can beat nature's. I love the colours of the shore and you've captured and catalogued them perfectly!

Each photo is distinctive and yet they all are about beach. I love the first one especially because I like the beach on a cloudy, stormy day.

Overcast days are my favourite for photography Jan, you get better colour without the bright sun washing everything out. There's always something growing along a shoreline or washing up on the sand, isn't there?
