Dressing Downton

Last week I had the great pleasure of attending an exhibit of the clothes of Downton Abbey at a museum in Anaheim. "Dressing Downton: Changing Fashion for Changing Times" is fabulous ... a must-see for those who loved this show or period clothes.

The details - exquisite!

The layout of the exhibit shows the progression of fashion.

These lovelies were sprinkled throughout the exhibit. My favorite was not included - "A weekend, what is a weekend?"
If you are in the area, the exhibit is open until May 14th.
Linking to Mosaic Monday

They are exquisite! I remember they were on display at the Biltmore estate but we weren't in NC when they were so I missed seeing them. I would love to be able to see them up close! I'm happy for you! Hugs, Diane

That would be so wonderful to see.... it was fascinating to see the fashions change (along with everything else) on that amazing show. And of course Maggie Smith! What more can be said! (Since we are long retired (or redundant since I should use Britspeak) we laugh about her weekend line pretty often. (We like to go places mid week when it's not so busy, so every day is, well, Saturday....)

As a big Downton fan this is an exhibition that I would have loved to have seen. The Dowager really is a hoot isn't she?
Thanks for sharing this wonderful experience with the MM crowd this week.

Sallie, that's one of the joys of retirement ... being able to go places mid-week. Crowds of people are so annoying (I can hear the Dowager saying something like that only she'd add "commoners" :-). Thanks for visiting my blog.

Maggie, I enjoy poking around MM. It's a great way to learn about other places, cultures, and simply enjoy pretty pictures.
