Coloring

While some find sketching to be therapeutic, my choice of relaxation is coloring. Yes, I'm on the "adult coloring" kick.

Bright Contrast
I find it to be the only way I can watch the evening news.
Cogs of a Wheel
I use gel markers and paint markers, combine colors that don't necessarily "go" yet appeal to me.
Daisies
Not seeking "art for the wall", I simply let myself relax into the process.
Raindrops
I have approximately 16 pages completed.
Twirly Flowers
Maybe they will end up in book form. Maybe cut out for collage.
Swirls
Maybe cut out for greeting cards or mail art. I don't know.
Lomish Collage
For now, the pages just make me happy, as does the process. Do you color?

Hi Jan, your pages are beautiful so ornate and colourful. I haven't been bitten by the colouring bug myself but my sister is a big fan and is constantly colouring when she gets the chance.
Happy Mosaic Monday.

Hello Jan, What colourful pages you've created. They are full of whimsy. I've tried colouring, but haven't been able to really get into it. My daughter-in-law loves it, though. Have a great week.

These are really pretty Jan and I understand how it would work as a meditative activity. But I don't think anything could help me stomach the evening news these days. I've given it up... if my husband must watch, he plugs in his earphones so our tiny house is silent. (I do check NPR and CNN on my IPAD every morning ... that's enough --- and that's how I know I won't be able to stand to watch the news ;>)!)

I was interested to see what you use to create your beautiful pages. I had wondered about that...whether people use colored pencils or what.
