Scrapping Away

My latest creation. Inspired by Patty Van Dorin, I created a scrap-o-dex.

At this low point of creativity ... this was the perfect project. The rhythm of cutting and gluing was fun and meditative. While it started as simply using up my stash of papers, creativity kicked in with sorting and arranging, locating old photos, determining if I wanted to collage the index tabs (yes) and finally collaging the rolodex holder. As soon as I finished, I felt I can't wait to do another one. That's what I've been waiting for ... some project that grabs me and makes me want to explore further.

BTW, it was a plain ol' rolodex from Staples. Card size is 2 5/8 x 4. And it only put a dent in my scraps.

This is fantastic - I have a whole lot of airline boarding passes and I'm looking for ideas of what to do with them. Thanks!

Wendy, that would be fun combined with snippets of photos and images from various places around the globe.

Michelle, thanks for your comment. I find I'm inspired when I flip through it. Inspired to get going on more cards!
