Walk Around The Block

Walking with camera in hand makes "exercise" interesting, even fun. Looking for, seeking things that are interesting enough to photograph. Like a tree with a yellow caution tape wrapped around its trunk. Or roots of an old tree that are deep while being visual at surface level. Flowers draped across a wall offering a soft pastel color to an otherwise bland palette. And a signature in the cement - was the cement layer in love with a dog? Is it a shrine - did Icobad lose his life at this corner of the world?

But the most visually interesting are the pipes that appear to be planted along with the trees. What is their purpose? What vital element do they provide to the residents of this neighborhood? Why is one painted red - what makes that one different from the others?

This is June 1 photo-of-the-day.
