I'm so excited to begin an online course this week through www.joggles.com -- Fabric Collage with Susan Sorrell. I find her work outrageously exciting. I'm looking forward to learning from her. I love online classes because I can do the work on my own schedule, which is quite busy this week. Another exciting thing is that my university has funded me to attend the Expressive Arts Conference this weekend in Newport Beach. Having never attended such a conference, I don't really know what to expect. I was funded to attend because the direction of my work has become bringing creativity and innovation into the discussion of leadership in organizations. I've taught two classes so far and will teach another in the spring. I bring in artists such as Charlotte Bachman who has students create their personal mandala, and Odile Nicolette who has students do "Q & A Art". The students have loved this course ... it's amazing how freeing it is to be able to play with crayons and paint and clay and imagery and poetry and dance and music ... it opens the mind to creative problem solving.

Hey Jan,
Thanks for the compliments on my fiber art. :) I am thrilled you are taking my class and I hope it inspires you like it did me. This is the first thing that I really learned when starting out in the fiber world and it released a lot of creative energy.
Cheers
SuSan ;)

I, too, am a Sorrell fan! I'm always thinking about taking an online class, but never get around to it.

Good on your university for making it possible for you to attend the conference. Their return will be in your increased knowledge, creativity, and inspiration.
